 Adoption #2

• June 6, 2022 - Adoption registered at Thai Consulate. Adoption is recognized now on both sides of the ocean. 
  
• December 23 2021 - Consent to Adoption received (hard copy)
  
• December 17, 2021 - She's officially adopted!
• December 15, 2021 - Consent to Adoption received (digital)
  
• July 26, 2021 - Post-Placement Meeting #3
  
• May 25, 2021 - Post-Placement Meeting #2
  
• March 25, 2021 - Post-Placement Meeting #1
• February 6, 2021 - Social security card arrived.
  
• January 24, 2021 - We are home, family of four!
  
• January 22, 2021 - Visa approved.
  
• January 21, 2021 - Visa interview, US Embassy in Bangkok
  
• January 20, 2021 - Met in front of the Thai Adoption Board (via zoom/computer). Approved.
  
• January 14, 2021 - She is with us forever starting today!
  
• January 13, 2021 - We met our daughter, and foster family, for the first time! (via zoom)
  
• December 26, 2020 - We left for Thailand.
  
• November 24, 2020 - We have dates! TRAVEL Approved!
  
• November 18, 2020 - Thai government Adoption Board approved travel for families!
  
• October 9, 2020 - Homestudy Update, again!
  
• September 29, 2020 - We sent a letter to the Thai government advocating to travel during COVID.
  
• September 28, 2020 - Our Case arrived at the US Embassy in Bangkok
  
• September 25, 2020 - Our daughter's Visa application is complete (DS-260)
  
• September 11, 2020 - I800 approved (arrived in mail September 21, 2020)
  
• August 5, 2020 - Our daughter has been issued her passport (we received this September 22, 2020).
  
• August 7, 2020 - We received Article 16, I800 application sent.
  
• June 30, 2020 - Article 16 letter dated and issued
  
• June 3, 2020 - Verbal notification of First Approval
  
• May 21, 2020 - We received First Approval (Thailand's approval of our adoption)
• July 19, 2019 - Acceptance paperwork received/reviewed by Holt, now sent to Thailand.
• July 19, 2019 - I800A Supplement application received to USCIS
  
• July 3, 2019 - We received a referral! We have a daughter!!!
  (travel expected 9-15 months from this date)
• June 18, 2019 - Home Study update complete
• June 8, 2018 - We are official #28 on wait list to be matched with a child!!!
  (match expected Lord willing in summer 2019)
• June 4, 2018 - Dossier returned to us authenticated by USA & Thai Embassy
• May 15, 2018 - Dossier identified as lost!!! Discovered in Orando, FL :-0
• May 14, 2018 - I800A approved. Immigration step #1 complete.
• May 11, 2018 - Dossier should of been returned to us.
• April 13, 2018 - Dossier delivered to courier for authentication in Washington D.C.
• April 10, 2018 - Dossier certified at Secretary of State office.
• April 5, 2018 - Publically announced our adoption! Facebook and all...
• March 28, 2018 - Homestudy Approved!
• March 28, 2018 - All phase #1 Holt adoption education complete.
• March 21, 2018 - Homestudy visit #2
• March 21, 2018 - Medical exams for both Homestudy and Dossier.
• March 16, 2018 -  Psychology exams for Dossier.
• March 15, 2018 - Homestudy visit #1
• March 12, 2018 - Fingerprinting
• March 5, 2018 - Began Homestudy through same agency/social worker as before.
• March 1, 2018 - Accepted into Thailand program with Holt Intl.
• February 18, 2018 - Decided to adopt again. Application sent to Holt Intl.

• May 2, 2018 - Certificate of Citizenship received. US Citizenship recognized by all!
• October 18, 2017 - Adoption registered at Thai Consulate. Adoption is recognized now on both sides of the ocean. 
• September 8, 2017 - He's officially adopted!
• August 22, 2017 - Invitation received from Thailand DSDW to register our adoption.
• August 9, 2017 - Consent to Adoption received (digital), signed August 4, 2017
• April 7, 2017 - Final paperwork sent to Thailand for Consent to Adoption approval.
• March 27, 2017 - Homestudy update, again.
• March 27, 2017 - Post-Placement Meeting #3
• February 27, 2017 - Fingerprinting, again!
• February 21, 2017 - Lawyer hired to finalize adoption.
• January 23, 2017 - Post-Placement Meeting #2
• November 21, 2016 - Post-Placement Meeting #1
• December 2, 2016 - Green card came in.
• September 15, 2016 - We are home, a family of three!
• September 13, 2016 - Visa is approved.
• September 8, 2016 - US Embassy meeting for Visa
• September 7, 2016 - We met in front of the Thai Adoption Board. Approved!

• July 15, 2016 - Passport received; DS-260 applied for (visa application)
• July 14, 2106 - Documentation sent to Thailand by NVC
• July 13, 2016 - Received tentative travel dates for late August/early September
• July 6, 2016 - I800 application approved
• June 1, 2016 - I800 application in the mail
• May 31, 2016 - We received Article 16 to apply for our I800 
• May 14, 2016 - Most amazing adoption shower ever!
• May 4, 2016 - We received First Approval (Thailand's approval of our adoption)
• December 10, 2015 - Homestudy update
• July 16, 2015 - Our timeline begins waiting for First Approval
• July 2, 2015 - Our son turned 2 today!
• June 29, 2015 - All acceptance paperwork sent in - we have a son!
• June 24, 2015 - We received a referral!
• September 19, 2014 - Our family is on the wait strip for a referral, expecting to be matched summer 2015, or sooner.
• August 31, 2014 - Dossier certified by Federal Govt and Thai Embassy.
• August 6, 2014 - Dossier certified at Secretary of State office.
• July 24, 2014 - Homestudy is Approved!
• July 16, 2014 - 10 credit hours of Education complete (Dossier requirement).
• July 15, 2014 - Homestudy sent to Holt for review.
• July 3, 2014 - We reviewed first proof of Homestudy.
• June 3, 2014 - Psychology exams for Dossier.
• May 13, 2014 - 3rd and final Homestudy Visit!
• May 6, 2014 - Medical check-ups for Homestudy.
• May 4, 2014 - Publicly announced adoption on Facebook. 
• April 29, 2014 - 2nd Homestudy Visit!
• April 28, 2014 - Fingerprinting!
• April 22, 2014 - Lined up friends to partner with us as references!
• April 15, 2014 - 1st Homestudy Visit! 
• April 10, 2014 - App. sent to the Children's Bureau for our Homestudy. Accepted!
• March 28, 2014 - Accepted into Thailand program with Holt International!
• March 24, 2014 - Chose to adopt from Thailand. Application sent to adoption agency.
• March 22, 2014 - Went to a Newsboys concert - found our adoption agency!
• March 1, 2014 - Research began, and started to share with family and close friends!
• February 17, 2014 - We decided to adopt!
